REET Exam Details

REET Application Fee: Candidates who wish to apply for both the papers have to pay ₹750 application fee; others have to pay ₹550. The validity of REET Score card will be valid for three years from the date of declaration of the result.

Passing Marks for REET Exam: Several sections have been exempted from eligibility marks in REET. According to the notice, the reserved classes will get a concession of 5 percent to 20 percent marks in the eligibility marks. The minimum passing scores for various categories in REET are set as follows:

  • General / Unreserved: 60 Marks (TSP & Non TSP)
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 55 (Non-TSP), 36 (TSP)
  • Scheduled Caste (SC), OBC, MBC and Economic Weaker Section: 55 Marks (Non-TSP & TSP)
  • All category widows and abandoned women and ex-servicemen: 50 Marks (TSP and Non-TSP)
  • Divyang: 40 Marks (TSP & Non-TSP)
  • Sahariya Tribe: 36 Marks (TSP & Non TSP)

Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan has specified the complete scheme and pattern of REET in the official information brochure. REET syllabus is based on the child development and pedagogy and language I and II in both the papers. In addition, the syllabus of paper 1 also includes the subjects of maths and environmental science. Similarly, the syllabus of paper 2 consists of the subjects of maths and science/ social science besides the common subjects.

Candidates preparing for the upcoming exam may note the details of the exam pattern in the official information brochure. The exam is being conducted for two papers where Paper 1 is for those who aspire to be a teacher of Class I to V while paper 2 is for those who aspire to be a teacher of classes 6 to 8.

Candidates appearing for paper 2 have to choose any one among the subjects of maths and science or social science depending on their preference to become a subject teacher in. Similarly, for the language papers, candidates can choose among the language options of English, Hindi, Sindhi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Punjabi and Gujarati. REET 2021 Exam

REET is an eligibility exam for those interested to teach in state-based schools. Those who wish to teach classes 1 to 5 will have to appear for paper 1 while those willing to teach classes 6 to 8 will have to take paper 2. REET 2021 Exam

The admit card will carry important information viz exam centre, time and venue along with important instructions. Candidates must carry their Admit Card on the exam day for hassle free entry along with ID proof like Aadhaar card. REET Exam Pattern: The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers will carry 150 MCQs and candidates need to score minimum 60% to qualify the exam. Candidates from Schedule Tribes (ST) of Rajasthan are eligible for relaxation and need 36% to qualify the exam. The qualified candidates will be issued a certificate which will be valid for a period of 3 years and candidates will be eligible to apply for government teaching jobs as and when they are released by the education department of the state.
