5th class entrance test results: TG Gurukul CET convener released the results of the TGCET written test conducted for admission in the fifth class of SC, ST, BC and general gurukuls in the state of Telangana. TGCET 2021 Results
But the closure of educational institutions since March in the wake of the corona this year has caused a severe delay in the conduct of the exam as the government has not yet given permission for them to reopen. Authorities extended the application for the TGCET several times. It was decided to conduct the test after Covid’s severity had subsided.
As part of this, TGCET entrance test was conducted on November 1. With thousands of seats in SC, ST, BC and General Gurukul schools. 1.5 lakh students across the state appeared for the exam. The authorities decided that, the tgcet results will be announced in the second week of November and admissions are expected to be completed by the end of the month.
Effect on teaching: Six months after the start of the academic year, teaching has not progressed as admissions have not yet taken place in the fifth class of gurukuls. Teacher groups are concerned that this will have an impact on student learning. Students and parents are now looking at Gurukul as the state government is now providing better facilities in Gurukul, which was once limited to corporate schools.
This is evidenced by the number of students who recently appeared for the Fifth Class Gurukul Entrance Examination that is TGCET. Among the Gurukuls under SC, ST, BC and General Gurukul Society, total 48,120 seats were contested in the fifth class. 1,48,168 students were applied for the entrance test, 1,12,949 students were appeared the the entrance test and 35,219 students were absent due to Covid and other reasons.
Gurukul Society officials said that students are interested in joining Gurukuls because of the better facilities provided by the state government.

Telangana Gurukul CET 2021 notification has been issued by the Telangana Government and Online applications are received through the TGCET Web portal. TGCET Provisional Selection List Results
Selection Process: Selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the Telangana Gurukul Common Entrance Test. Merit list is prepared of the candidates who will clear the cut off criteria.
